Angry Birds Party
Pin It
I was inspired to come up with some Angry Birds party ideas after seeing these cupcakes that my friend, Nickie, made. We all know how popular Angry Birds are with both kids and adults. Throwing a party centered around this addicting game is sure to be a winner.
Invitations Invitations for your Angry Birds party can be purchased at a local party supply store or online at Celebrate Express . You can also make your invitations by cutting card stock to look like the birds and then gluing the printed wording on the back. Use feathers in matching colors to complete the look. You could also print the wording and then cut the paper into egg shapes or to look like the green pigs. Another fun idea would be to create a paper sling shot out of card stock and a rubberband and include it with your invitation.
Invitation wording ideas:
Oh no, the hungry green pigs are trying to steal our eggs! Join the Angry Birds at Matthew's birthday party to stop them. May 5th from 12:00 to 2:00 Smith's Nest 1234 Any St. New York, NY 12345 RSVP to 123-456-7890
We'll sling into action at Matthew's Angry Birds party May 5th from 12:00 to 2:00 Smith's Nest 1234 Any St. New York, NY 12345 Don't be eaten by the hungry green pigs. RSVP to play! 123-456-7890
Games and Activities The kids will love to build a shelter for the green pigs. Let them use shoe boxes, pillows, and other household items to create a shelter. Use plush Angry Birds to knock down the shelter. This works best outside or in a large open room.
If weather permits, you can do an Angry Birds water balloon toss. Have red and green balloons filled with water to represent the birds and the pigs.
Fill plastic eggs with candy and have an egg hunt.
Make confetti eggs and let the kids break them over each other's heads. To make the eggs, poke a small hole in the top of the egg and then poke a larger hole in the bottom. Let the insides drain out through the larger hole. If the yolk is being stubborn, you can use the needle to stir it up a bit so it drains better. Rinse the eggs with water and a splash of bleach. Let them dry thoroughly before filling with confetti. Use tissue paper to cover the large hole so the confetti won't fall out.
Party Favors Send the kids home with a sling shot like this one:

Also, eggs filled with candy or some themed candy like this: Party Food After all of the game playing, the kids will be hungry (just like the green pigs!). Some fun themed food ideas are pigs in a blanket, ham sandwiches, bacon and eggs, deviled eggs, egg salad sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, and chicken nuggets. Serve with red Angry Birds punch (any red fruit juice).
I have to share close up pictures of the Angry Birds cupcakes. My friend did such a good job on them and I wanted to show the details so you can see how they were made.
